PIVO NA NÁPLAVCE 2015

III. Edition

PIVO NA NÁPLAVCE 2015

In addition, the organizers aimed to introduce newly established microbreweries within reach of Prague residents, meaning in Prague and the Central Bohemian Region. Building the tradition of any event means not only organizing it regularly but also at the same time and in the same place. This time, unfortunately, it was only possible in terms of the festival’s location, as the traditional late May date (May 29–30) was assigned to another event by the Prague City Hall. The Pivo na Náplavce 2015 festival was therefore held at the end of the 25th week of the year.

As in the past, a batch of festival beer was also prepared for visitors, specifically 250 liters of unfiltered and unpasteurized 11% light lager called Vltavská prsa (Vltava Breaststroke), named after a swimming style. The beer was brewed by Slepý krtek (Blind Mole) from Ujkovice, the most popular brewery from the previous year’s festival. This and other beers stimulated appetite, which was satisfied by thirty gastronomic establishments and their specialties, from cracklings through baguettes and burgers to Czech classics.
